Default I Can Not Decide.

So I have been paying GW on and off for a few years and recently came back. I deleted all my old characters and decided to start fresh. I created Rit and A Ranger in Proph. I really love playing both classes and can not decide which one to play. My question to you guys is which class has the following qualities.

- Can farm solo or with a group and it doesn't take like days to make a few Platinum.
- Is good for both PvE and PvP.
- Is fun to play and will not make me lose interest after a few missions.
- Has cool Elite Armor and Weapons for me to save up for.

So I ask all you players who have payed these characters which class is right for me? Thank you in advance.

rit.
spirit spammer build - used by nearly all classes to farm items for nicholas, it can pretty much kill anything out there if played and adjusted properly.
although r/rt can use the spirits as well, i still prefer rt.

rit's binding rituals are too slow in pvp and some of his elites are crappy there.

rit.
you can go spiritmancer and even vq most of the areas completely alone, you can heal the pt, you can go as a minion master.
although there are some 'new' scythe ranger builds, i still vote for rit.

rit. at least if we're talking about female armors.
just check wiki - elite luxon, elite norn and the mummy are worth getting for sure.

i would pick a primairy rit straight away and then go /me or /mo for a while. it of course depends on your playstyle and expectations, so it's hard to tell you 'play this and that', but well, rits rock the pve now.

Both the Ritualist and Ranger can farm fairly well, and can both run the Spirit-Spammer build. If you really want a farmer character, I say make a monk. But otherwise, take a look at PvXWiki - All Farming Builds.

Both of the professions have their ups and downs in PvE and PvP. You'll notice there are more Ranger builds than Ritualist, but both work fairly well. (You can also make up your own builds - you are not restricted to ones that just "work".)

This is your preference and yours alone. Some people find it overly boring to just stand there and mash 1 through 8 for every group of enemy, and then sit there and wand/staff them to death. (Referring to the PvE Spirit Spammer build.) And not everybody likes the responsibility of healing or the stress of it while in an 8-person group. (Referring to any type of PvE Ritualist Healer.) Rangers may not be as appealing with their job of just interrupting, or attempting to spike an enemy NPC/Player, either. So, it really is your own preference on this.

I say both for this one. But you shouldn't go just for looks.

Ritualist Armor Gallery

In the end, it's based solely on your preference. I like both of the professions in the means of farming, PvP, PvE, and the way their armor looks. Just remember - it's a game. There is no "best", there is just what you like to play. (And you don't have to restrict yourself to playing just one or the other. Get them both through the storyline and use one or the other when you'd like to do something.)

I think ritualist is better now at farming. before the spirit buffs it was equal I think.

I think ranger is alot more fun. in the end you be spamming spirits with a ritu wich I think is boring.

as a ranger there are many great working builds that are fun to play!
-bow attacks with interrupts and conditions
-with expertise you can go scythe, dagger, sword etc.
-beastmaster
-traps are fun

But the ritu is better with secondary casting profs. so I would take what you prefer. casting or melee.

I think there are more nice ranger armours then ritualist armours. but see wiki for yourself.

Bows are kewler imo.
eternal bow, storm bow, tormented bow, bow of hierophant etc.

their are some nice staffs tho. some of the bonus mission pack staves are very cool. and the bone dragon staff is also nice.

I played both classes. And I prefer the Ranger.

Alright thanks guys for the suggestions and links to pages with armor. I decided to go Ranger because I tried Spirit Spamming and it just was boring after a while. Thanks again hope to play with you all in the future/

ranger's are generally more useful and versatile in pvp, and i myself don't play rit because having an easy button for pve doesn't appeal to me.

Spirits Stength is a good alternative to spirits, especially in pvp
